ICSI it is!

So, the results of the semen analysis came back and it’s not great news. Apparently, his morphology has diminished greatly in the past 2 years. Although not dir, it seems that ICSI would be the most sensible path for us to take at this time.

I’ve been doing my homework and it seems that ICSI is truly incredible. For the uninitiated, they take a single sperm and a single egg and, using a needle one tenth the width of a human hair, inject the one little spermatozoa into the ovum. It’s fascinating to watch.

Despite the extra £1000 cost, I think it’s worth it, as we’re already spending so much money anyway. I’m sure we’ll find the extra money somewhere and, anyway, kids are expensive so we might as well get used to it now.

We‘re meeting with the doctor next Tuesday to find out more about the next steps. Feeling excited yet still slightly apprehensive at this point but we’ll see what happens next.
